When I first heard about ' How about A Book-Scented Fragrance by Karl Lagerfeld?' I was taken aback of that statement. How come? How can? How is it? How does it smell? That's just legit terrific! I mean I really Love the smell of books, I always sniff everybook that I read. It's just the curiousity of my own. Especially when it comes to the old old books. I know the smell makes me sneezing but it's just one of guilty pleasure of mine.
So, the news that i got is that Lagerfeld has teamed up and worked with Steidl (the company that publishes his photography books) and German perfumer Geza Schön for the scent, which is called Paper Passion. The inspiration is taken when He realised that he owns so many many books. they are 300,000 books, by the way. And Lagerfeld has his own impressive library.
And just to make things super fancy, “the fragrance will be sold encased within a hardcover book entitled Paper Passion.” This is certainly the perfect project for the Kaiser, who owns a Parisian publishing house and bookstore (and who is planning to open another stateside in the near future!)
But so many rumors happen about this thingy. Someone said it's not true. But this thingy is being talked by everyone now. Just in case, it's really happening, Would you buy a book-scented fragrance? Well I do. I'll find my way to get that fragrance.
